Admission of Home Schooled Students
Home schooled students must submit a copy of the home school’s approvedregistration from the state in which they are registered and an officialtranscript including the graduation date and documentation of completion ofcompetency testing. Please note that the NC Division of Non-Public Educationhome school laws apply only to schools enrolling students of compulsoryattendance age (at least 7 years of age but not yet 16 years of age).Home schools are not empowered by state law to issue diplomas to post highschool age students. High School Admissions (Career and College Promise)
In addition to serving traditional college students, Pitt Community Collegeallows high school students to enroll in community college courses tuitionfree based on the Career and College Promise program. This program providesseamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolinahigh school juniors and seniors. Freshmen Transfer Students

Undergraduate First-Year Applicants
First-year applicants are those who will complete high school by the end ofthe current academic year. * Students enrolled in concurrent high school and college courses are considered first-year candidates. * Students who have elected to take time off from schooling between graduating from high school and enrolling in college are considered first-year candidates. * Completion of a high school diploma (or an equivalent) prior to enrollment is required for all new incoming students.Domestic vs. InternationalDomestic applicants are those who hold one of the following citizenship orresidency statuses: * U.S. citizenship * Permanent Residency * DACA * Undocumented who do not hold DACA status but have resided in the U.S. for an extended period of time * Refugee/AsyleeInternational applicants are foreign nationals applying to Rice. Foreignnationals are students living outside the U.S. or living in the U.S. who hold,a valid F-1, J-1, H-1, H-4, etc. visa/ status, as well as those pendingPermanent Residency status. Rice’s international student designation is basedon residency or citizenship status rather than where a student lives andstudies.
School of Architecture Applicants
Applicants interested in the School of Architecture must submit a portfolio ofcreative work. Portfolios should be uploaded via your Rice Admission StudentPortal. The portfolio should demonstrate creative potential and is notexpected to be architectural in focus nor professional in quality. The Schoolof Architecture does not accept CDs or DVDs. Virginia Tech Application Requirements
Students who have not earned college credit after high school graduation areconsidered freshmen at Virginia Tech. Students must complete an onlineapplication. Official high school transcripts must be provided as well asofficial ACT or SAT scores. Students who have completed 12 or more hours ofcollege study after high school are considered transfer students. They mustalso complete an online application and provide official transcripts from allcolleges or universities attended.Graduate applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accreditedcollege or university. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in order toapply, but there are circumstances that would allow that requirement to bewaived. Because different programs require different admissions documentation,students are encouraged to speak to an admissions counselor.

Should I apply as a regular transfer student, conditional transfer
student, or freshman transfer student?It will depend on your current academic status and how many earnedtransferable credits you have. If you are unsure whether all of your creditswill be transferred, but feel you have over 30 earned credit hours, you canstart by applying as a regular transfer student and we can adjust yourchecklist accordingly once we evaluate all of your college transcripts.
Stern School of Business Graduate Admissions
NYU Stern offers excellent graduate degrees in Accounting, Data Analytics,Quantitative Finance, and other disciplines to students from all around theworld. Students applying must have an instinct of business, along with severalpreliminaries required for admission. Requirements for Admission
General Military Course (freshmen and sophomores): Enrollment requirements areas follows: 1. possess good moral character, 2. must meet age requirements for commissioning, 3. be medically qualified, and 4. be admitted to the University as a regular full-time student.Professional Officer Course (juniors and seniors): Students are selected forthe POC on a competitive basis. In addition to those requirements mentionedfor the GMC, entrance into the POC requires that a student be a U. S. citizen;meet mental and physical requirements for commissioning; have satisfactorilycompleted approximately 60 semester hours toward his or her degree; and be ingood standing in the institution. Those enrolled in the POC will sign an oathof allegiance to the U. S. and receive a monthly monetary stipend.
