Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe whatgraduates are expected to attain within a few years after graduation. Programeducational objectives are based on the needs of the program’s constituencies.PEO-1 To produce graduates who attain gainful employment and practicesuccessfully in mechanical related engineering technology professions;PEO-2 To produce graduates who remain technically current and adapt to rapidlychanging technologies through continuous learning and self-improvement;PEO-3 To produce graduates who demonstrate independent thinking and functioneffectively in teams to solve open-ended problems in an industrialenvironment;PEO-4 To produce graduates who communicate effectively and perform ethicallyand professionally in business, industry, and society.

These relate to the knowledge, skills, andbehaviors that students acquire as they progress through the program.Student outcomes for the MCT program are: 1. an ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline; 2. an ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline; 3. an ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature; 4. an ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and 5. an ability to function effectively as a member or leader on a technical team.
