Step 2: Next, click the Fill button on the toolbar and choose Transparent
If you need to add a transparent fill to your Quick Styles for the first time,it’s pretty simple. All you need to is click down on the fill color option inthe Tool Properties and select the transparent fill.
Step 4: Click the background areas you want to remove
If you are using a screenshot or a PNG image, it will default to have atransparent background. Using Photoshop to Make a Transparent Background
If you are a designer, or you use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, there are afew simple ways to make your logo background transparent. It is very easy to take out the background of a photo in Photoshop. After youopen your image in Photoshop, make sure it is unlocked so it can be edited.Then select the Magic Wand tool.Then, click anywhere on the background to select it. There will then be amoving dotted line around everything that is selected. The Magic Wand tool is great, but doesn’t always select all the white space.To make sure you will be erasing all of the background, I like to click on the“Select” drop-down menu, and choose “Similar”. This will ensure that all ofthe background is actually being selected.Once all the background is selected, just hit “Delete” on your keyboard andthe background is gone!To deselect the image, use shortcut command-D and then you can save the logoas a PNG to preserve the transparency. A JPEG cannot have a transparentbackground no matter how hard you try.
1. Select Object Using Magic Select Tool
For that, follow these steps:Step 1: Open your image in Paint 3D.Step 2: Click on the Magic Select tool present in the top bar.Step 3: A selection box will appear. Use the corners or sides of the box toselect the portion of the image whose background you want to change. Thenclick on Next on the right side.Step 4: Paint 3D will automatically detect the object inside the selection. Ifyou are satisfied with the selection, click Done on the right side. Otherwise,use the Add or Remove tools also present on the right side to modify theselection.Click on the Add tool and then select the part of the image that you want toadd to your selection. Similarly, click on Remove tool and click the area thatyou want to remove.Step 5: Once you press the Done button, you will see a new box appears outsidethe selected image indicating that it’s now a separate object. You can use thevarious tools present on the box to rotate or flip the image.

There are two ways to remove the background.
4. Save Transparent Image
With the background out of the way, it’s time to save our final image. Forthat, follow these steps:Step 1: Hit the Menu icon and select Save as from the menu with the format asImage.Step 2: Next, you need to make sure two things. First, the drop-down box underSave as type should be showing PNG (image). If it’s showing any other format,change it to PNG (image). Secondly, the Transparency box should be checked.Saving the file in PNG format is extremely important. If you save in JPG,which is different from PNG, you will lose the transparency.Tip: In case you forget to make the white background transparent using Canvasoptions, check the box next to Transparency when saving the image. That shoulddo the trick.Step 3: Finally, click on the Save button. You will be asked to assign a nameand choose the save location. Congratulations! Your image with a transparentbackground is ready.Note: Even though we are making the background white first and then removingit, you need to follow all the steps mentioned above for images with the whitebackground too.
Step 2: Making the background transparent
Now open the image you want to make transparent. I’ve chosen this image: But you can use whatever image you like. To open an image go to File > Openand then select your file. Alternatively, you can press CTRL + O. What differs GIMP and Photoshop from Paint and similar programs is that theyuse layers. Each layer can be edited individually, so you can edit parts ofyour image without having to touch the other one. These layers can be found in the upper right corner of your screen. To addtransparency right-click the layer and select ‘Add Alpha Channel’. To make the background transparent we will use the Select By Color Tool. Youcan use it by pressing Shift + O or going to Tools > Selection Tools > ByColor Select. Press anywhere around the logo on the white space you want to erase. A movingdotted line should appear around it. Press delete and a checker-likebackground should appear, like so: If this isn’t the case make sure you added an alpha channel to your image, andthere aren’t any other layers left. If you have a ‘Background’ layer you candelete this by right-clicking it and selecting ‘Delete Layer’. Congratulations! You’ve made your first logo with a transparent background!
Step 2: Selecting Magic Wand Tool
You can see the icon to the right of your screen in the vertical Tools Panel.Right-click the 4th icon and select the Magic Wand Tool. You can also press Was a shortcut.
Step 3: Removing Background
Press anywhere in the background space you want to delete. A dotted line willappear indicating the area you are about to delete. If the area isn’t bigenough, you can always add more to your selection by holding down Shift +clicking the area you want to add. If you miss clicked you can remove your entire selection by right-clicking andpicking Deselect. A checker-like background should appear on your image.
Step 4: Saving your Image
Now it’s time to save your image. Go to File > Save as. Not all image typesdisplay transparency. Make sure your image is saved as a PNG file. Select the PNG option: Now press ‘Save’. Step 3: Removing background
You can now draw a path around what you want to delete from your image. Toselect more accurately you can always press Ctrl and ‘+’to zoom. To completeyour selection press Ctrl + click on the final piece of your created path.Press Delete to remove the element, a checker-like background should appear atthe place of the object.
